"Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon" - Winnie the Pooh

Canberra's annual Balloon Spectacular is once again filling the capital skies with joy, so to give yourself the best start to the day on Thursday by joining us for a dawn paddle. We'll be meeting at the Boat Shed at 6:15am to catch to 6-6:30 lift offs of most of the balloons and getting into position for the 7am sunrise. We'll be paddling towards the Parliamentary Triangle, and back again in time for people to get to work/class by 9am.

Only prerequisite is attendance on a Come and Try session/previous paddling experience with the club. Cost is $2 for kayak hire. Bring cameras, headtorches, some warm clothing and good cheer.

Paddle as far as participant fitness will allow, and aim to be back at the shed at 8:15am.
