Archived trip from old website run by Alana

A leisurely Saturday walk to the Yankee Hat Rock Shelter in Namadgi National Park. Have been meaning to do this one for years!

We'll meet at the SRA at 9am, drive ~an hour to the start of the walk. From there, an easy 3km walk to the Yankee Hat rock overhang (one of a few known Aboriginal art site in the ACT). We'll take a look at the art, find somewhere to have lunch with good mountain views, then walk back to the cars so we can be back in Canberra mid to late afternoon.

Details of the walking track are here: http://www.tams.act.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0015/404601/Yankee_Hat_Rock_Art_Walking_Track_Brochure.pdf

Please bring:
•Bushwalking clothes (no jeans please), including warm layers as it is colder in Namadgi than Canberra
•Raincoat
•Hat, sunscreen
•Lunch and snacks
•Waterbottles (2L)
•Personal first aid
