Are you new to Canberra/ ANUMC and want to explore the beautiful landscape surrounding Canberra? Come along for an easy half-day bushwalk in nearby Namadgi National Park. (experienced club members welcome too of course). 

The 8.5km return walk begins at the Smokers Gap car park on Corin Road and climbs steadily uphill before emerging at Square Rock, a prominent outcrop of large granite boulders with spectacular views. 



We will meet outside Coffee Grounds (ANU sport/SRA/the gym) at 8.00am, and should arrive back by 1.00pm.  If you are able to drive please indicate below, and you will be reimbursed for fuel.

Hat



Sunscreen



Waterbottle



Raincoat in case of dodgy weather



Wear comfortable walking clothes + shoes



Morning tea snacks for a picnic at the top!



$10 fuel contribution.



 



There will be no pre-trip meeting. 




Smokers gap car park--> ascend square rock walking trail--> morning tea + view admiration at square rock--> come down the same way.
