Some abseiling practice as a warm up for BME! Abseiling in the gym sucks in this hot weather, so lets get wet instead.

We will do a few short and wet abseils at the scenic Gibraltar falls in Namadgi national park, on Wednesday evening.

To maximize time abseiling, we will leave campus at 5.30pm sharp and return probably around 9pm.

No prior experience necessary, but please give an indication of your general experience level in the "additional info" box when signing up.

There will be a pre-trip on Tuesday at 6pm to get gear sorted. Please bring $40 cash ($10 hire plus $30 refundable deposit).

If you can't attend the pre-trip you can't come, sorry.

Please bring:

• Clothes and shoes that can get wet (no bare feet)


• A spare set of clothes and a towel


• Money for drivers


• Some snacks/dinner

 

Abseiling either from the platform or one of several boulders or trees at top of falls.
