Archived trip from old website run by Taya Fabijanic

I am planning to do the Australian Alps Walking Track (AAWT) in November this year. It is a endurance trip that may take up to 6 weeks across the spine of the Victorian Alps and Snowy Mountains Range leading up to Tharwa (basically). I am also thinking of doing it in fortnight blocks or there about (if I can't get the leave for the whole six weeks), going South to North.

For more information on the AAWT - see the EOI post on the trip calendar.

If you are interested in joining me, please register for this info night. I will be discussing proposed segments broadly, food arrangements, the challenge of carrying gear (!) and intended route (south-north). I also share ways in which I am preparing for the trip - smaller trips, training and food preparation exercises.

Meet at the ANUMC Wig and Pen so beer and chips could potentially fuel discussion  :) at  a 6PM START.

This ought to be an excellent test of endurance, nature-wonderment and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Seriously. Do it before you get knee-problems.
