It's time for the mountaineering club to do some serious mountaineering! 



I've submitted an Expedition Fund proposal for a mountaineering expedition to Southwest China and I have funding contingent on participation and a few other things. The plan is for a team of three to climb a moderate mountain in the 5500m-6000m range, either late this year or early next year. I think we'll be overseas for about a month. The total cost (including flights) should be around $2700 per person, less a subsidy of $800 per person.

I'm looking for one or two more team members with a little mountaineering experience - having done a course in NZ or a few trips there is probably sufficient. If you're at all interested, please get in touch with m
