Welcome adventurers!

Prepare yourself for a Tolken-esque epic journey quest adventure thing to the distant unscaleable Mt Doom (Mt Twynam) for the extravagant main range extravaganza on the main range. Did I mention extravagant?!

Prepare for a journey that will test your stamina, determination, and ability to dodge the onslaught of hail-like snowshoe insults.

Any and all survivors of this experience, will undoubtably be forever connected in a bond forged by snowshoes. #Snowshoes4Lyf

TLDR: This is the trip to sign up to if you wish to snowshoe to and from the main range extravaganza. We will travel at a social, beginner friendly pace however i expect all trip participants to have experience snowcamping and be self sufficient. We will meet at ANU sport at 7am, for a 7:30am departure. Park at Guthega, and walk the ~6km w/~450m elevation to the proposed MRE campsite around Mt Twynam.

Trip Plan:

The returning plans on Sunday are to pack and leave camp in the early afternoon, returning to Canberra on Monday evening aiming to return to Canberra before 9pm.

Once we arrive at camp on Saturday, you are free to partake in whatever activities you wish.  A number of trips will be posted on the trip calendar, and others will be organised ad hoc.
