Two orienteering events on Saturday and Sunday each about an hour outside of Canberra. Each event has a variety of difficulties and distances and is suitable for anyone. Orienteering is a navigation sport where competitors race around a set course as fast as possible.

An hour and 15 minutes east of Canberra (details for getting there on the website). Starts are anytime between9:30am and 11:00am, talk to the officials at the event to get a start time. The area should be fairly runnable for those who like to go fast. Online entry has closed, but there is enter on the day options available for 3 of the courses with distances ranging from 3km to 2km with varying navigational difficulty. Cost is $10 per person for ANUMC members. Email Ciaran (cjl@internode.on.net) if you are planning to go so you can reserve a map.
