To mark end of exams I'm planning on a day trip to one of Canberra's local crags. Snake rock is a small but densely packed collection of boulders, with some excellent technical aretes and dihedrals, as well as a few mixed/trad lines. It is also a good choice of crag for people to learn to lead climb, as there are well bolted and extremely short climbs as low as grade 8.

  • Spots are limited by the number of car drivers who sign up. Spots will be allocated in order of signups, except for car drivers as necessary.

  • If I have not climbed with you before please describe your experience or I'll simply cancel your registration. Beginners are welcome, although I will have to ensure enough experienced climbers are also coming. Signing up is not a guarantee of coming.

  • Car drivers are needed: the drive is entirely on sealed roads.
