Come and join an easy overnight bushwalk from Mt Franklin along the Mt Franklin Road to climb Gingera. Here are some of the best views the ACT has to offer!

If you are looking for a first overnight bushwalking experience, or you are already experienced and feeling bored (now that uni is over :D ), this is a great place to visit. There is minimal elevation gain, fairly short distances, and a lovely place to camp.

Please have a fair level of fitness (can walk for a few hours with a hiking pack over a day). You do not require all of your own overnight gear, the club can supply that through hiring. Gear will be sorted at a later date.

Park on Mt Franklin Rd at the turn off to Mt Franklin. Walk along Mt Franklin Road past Mt Ginini to Mt Gingera (~11 km). Summit Mt Gingera and return to camp next to Pryor's Hut. Next day walk back to the cars. All up about 28 km with the summit of Mt Ginini and Mt Gingera (optional but recommended).
