NB: This trip needs a car driver signing up to go ahead. If there is a waiting list, priority will be given to a driver.

I'm thinking of an easy trip to Gibraltar Peak for some thesis-writing destress - a nice hike, moderate trad, good views (see https://image.thecrag.com/1728x960/14/be/14be1abf6037545fa0fca5cb75a0930ef52462fb).

Plan is for a party of 2-4 although it will depend on how many car drivers and experienced climbers sign up.

This would be a good trip to get into trad climbing for someone with at minimum: experience climbing outdoors, ability to climb mid-high teen grades, lead belay, and rappel.

Participants will need: harness, shoes, helmet, and a tube-style belay device with locking carabiner.

If I have not climbed with you before please describe your experience when you sign up - if you do not, I will cancel your registration.

Leave ANU sport at 8, start hiking at 9, start climbing at 10, begin the return hike at 4, begin the return drive at 5.
